The Research and Development Department includes a Doctor of Food Science and two Certified Food Scientists. Our Senior Vice President directs and participates in all R&D activities. The expertise and turn around on each project is impressive and our customers benefit from the entire teams experience and high level of skill.

7 R&DProduct Development
Our state-of-the-art laboratory can respond quickly to R&D requests. We are equipped to have samples ready to ship in days instead of weeks from our lab on-site – if necessary, getting many samples out within 48 hours.
Matching Existing Blends
Our R&D technologists are experts at matching existing systems and if desired, improving them. They have extensive knowledge of ingredients and their functions relating to the performance of the finished product.
Technical Services
Our Technical Service Team is well trained in FDA and USDA labeling regulations. They keep up to date with changes in requirements relating to ingredient declarations, allergens and nutritional statements, and work closely with customers to ensure compliance.
We also have personnel on our staff with extensive industry operating experience for in-plant assistance with processing challenges.
Flavor Source has the capability of co-packaging for its clients, which extends the same accreditation for their products. (i.e. SQF and Gluten Free).
Shipping from Arkansas, Indiana and Ohio gives us a logistical advantage over our competition.
We closely monitor our shipments to assure that our customers’ orders are complete and on time.
